Katie creates with heartstrings as her stimulus. Her movement is heavily influenced by her contemporary background, though she pulls in components of classic musical theater storytelling to her work. 

Her standalone style is grounded, both physically and metaphorically, in technique and character that mimics everyday struggles, trials and triumphs -- no matter who you are or where you are.  

She is drawn to choreography as a means of giving back, to help those discover a shared goodness in humanity.
