Artistic
Collaborations
Katie creates spaces for artists of all mediums to come together and be seen and heard. Some of her favorite recent projects include holding live music dance classes and shows, often at Steps on Broadway, curating shows at Arts On Site in the East Village, developing a 15-minute contemporary ballet for Woman in Motion dance company in NYC (which will premiere at Ailey Citigroup Theater in Summer 2025), and choreographing and directing music videos for bands. She loves stumbling upon artists in NYC and making unexpected art happen. She has worked in the studio regularly with James Jin, Jacob Hiss and Al Blackstone to continue approaching her art from the photographic and videographic lenses and be around visionaries in the field.

PHILANTHROPIC
Collaborations
Having an older sister with Down syndrome shaped Katie into an advocate. Through dance as the medium, Katie uses her time and talent to support people with disabilities, cancer fighters and caretakers, and artists. From classes to shows to gala support and curations, Katie raises money, connects people and tries to “leave the world a little better than ‘she’ found it,” to quote Judah & The Lion. Some of her most regular and recent partnerships are with HNC Living Foundation, to support head and neck cancer patients, Dance/NYC, to support artists financially in NYC, and CATA (Community Access to the Arts), which provides artistic opportunities for people with disabilities in upstate New York.

TEACHING
Collaborations
Katie has taught at dance studios for competitive level dancers all around the United States and Mexico, as well as for professional level dancers in theaters, universities, and workshops across the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Prague, and London. She hopes to continue making more connections locally and globally, with kids and adults, and professionals and non-professionals. Katie believes in holding spaces where the work is respected, the artists strive for excellence, and also don’t take it too seriously. It is simply dancing to music, after all. Some of her favorite teaching collaborations are with Momen in NYC, House of Jazz in London, and Flashdance Studio in Mexico City.
